There is nothing more beautiful in life than combining sport, travel and volunteer!

I was already working in England, and my plan was  that I would cross Europe from London to Athens by bike with the aim of gathering 10.000 euros for Association Floga for children with cancer. Although I am not a competition biker, I believe that if you really want something, no matter the difficulties, you will succeed!

So on the 5th of September 2015 I started cycling:

From London to Athens

England – France – Belgium – Luxembourg – Germany – Switzerland – Italy – Greece

Travel expenses were minimal and covered by me, including basically just food, as there were no transport expenses (haha) and as for my stay, I had arranged to stay with locals through couchsurfing and warmshowers.  Our goal was to raise awareness to the people and played our part in any way to gather as much money as possible for these little angels who give their own daily battle to beat cancer. Our goal was finally achieved and we managed to gather 15.654 euros for children of the Association Floga!

In the part that included Greece, in every city-stop, in collaboration with the municipality and local associations, we organised bike rides and various other events where people had the chance to participate 🙂
